Tax Burden
Hi PC,
Why the burden of entire country (including inclusive growth of SC/ST) should be put on the shoulders of service class only with high inflation and high tax rates? Why cant we cover businesses and salaried under a common net of Income taxes? Eg. Every shopkeeper or farmer, irrespective of his financial condition, should pay a Tax of lets assume Rs 10,000 per year. That will increase Tax compliance due to simplicity and small amounts of Taxes payable. On the other hand, it will increase Tax revenues also. After all we are 100 crore country. If we can cover 30% of the population, Tax revenue would be of the tune of 300 Lakh Crores.
